US

MISSION AND VISION.

Our mission is to generate and disseminate knowledge about the status of the ecosystems of the Lacandona Rainforest in order to implement actions that contribute to conservation, sustainable use, restoration and thus, empower local communities and influence public policy.

Our vision is to conserve biodiversity, reverse environmental decline and contribute to social well-being and the construction of an equitable, fair and sustainable world.

VALUES.

Coherence. We seek alignment between our vision, mission, values and the actions we carry out. We do what we say and we believe in what we do.

Integrity. We always act with honesty, responsibility and transparency, never encouraging nepotism, corruption or abuse by action or omission.

Empathy. Our work must be sensitive to the conditions of each person and group in order to include them while respecting their differences and taking advantage of the benefits of diversity.

Respect. We recognize and appreciate the value of each person and we coexist with a diversity of ideas, ways of thinking and ways of being.

Trust. We create spaces where everyone feels comfortable, conflict is reduced, and differences of opinion can be heard and resolved favorably.

Gratitude. We acknowledge the effort and time invested by all teams and each of the individuals who are part of them.

STRATEGIC LINES.

In response to the transformation and degradation that the ecosystems of the Lacandona Rainforest have suffered due to accelerated population growth, land occupation, and the establishment of huge extensions of agricultural crops and pastures for livestock, Natura Mexicana seeks to promote and implement the necessary actions for the conservation and management of natural ecosystems in the region. These actions are carried out both in natural protected areas and neighboring areas, so ecosystems remain healthy while conserving natural resources and upkeeping the generation of environmental services, income and employment, all of which are necessary for the development and social well-being of the population.
